This is a gentle adventure holiday geared for teamwork and relaxation, mindfulness and recuperation, sociable, friendly and lots of fun! We sail or motor to a different harbour every day and can include a stop at an anchorage on the way. There will be plenty of time to participate in sailing, boat handling, swimming, taking therapeutic walks, exploring beautiful villages and anchorages or simply relaxing on deck with a book.
Enjoy optional mindful morning stretches followed by freshly prepared breakfasts after which we sail or motor to a different harbour every day. We often include a stop at an anchorage on the way to enjoy swimming and eating delicious lunches served on board.
You don't need to have previous sailing experience to come on our sailing holidays, but this is an opportunity for hands on experience to be part of the crew working together as a team even if you only want to help with making tea and washing up! We love teaching sailing and will encourage active participation but that is not compulsory. Your skipper will happily teach any of the sailing and boat handling that interests you.
Enjoy relaxed sailing as part of a team, you’ll learn how to work together to sail the boat and even share galley duties!
Set sail in Antigua from the base at Nelson’s Dockyard, You will be sailing at leisure around the beautiful Caribbean Island of Antigua. Antigua may pack 365 beaches into one small island, nestled in the heart of the Caribbean’s Leeward Islands, Antigua is the best that sailing has to offer warm, gentle trade winds, safe anchorages, turquoise waters, and deserted white sand beaches. You’ll find a thrumming nightlife and lively bars filled with sailors drinking rum cocktails. From here, we are positioned to explore both Antigua and potentially her chilled-out little sister, Barbuda. Drop anchor in Deep Bay and snorkel the famous shipwreck, The Andes, huddled under the blue waters in the middle of the bay. Step onto dry land for an evening and join one of Antigua’s famous ‘jump-ups’, a steel drum dancing session. You'll find satiny stretches of coral sands for relaxing and colourful reefs for snorkelling. Why not extend your trip and stay at the beautiful Historic Nelsons Dockyard, explore the superyachts in Falmouth Harbour, Shirley Heights or stay at one of the beautiful resorts on the island.
